An explanation of love

What is love?

A genie sat among the green branches and pondered.

The wind is as if there is nothing.

A bird flew over, stopped on the branch and looked at the rice field that was about to mature in the distance.

The genie took out a bunch of yellow rice and asked, "do you like this rice?"

"Love."

"Why?"

"it drives away my hunger."

The bird pecked the rice and gently combed its glossy feathers.

"do you like the rice now?" The genie took out another bunch of yellow rice.

The bird looked up at a distant spring and replied, "now I love that spring. I'm a little thirsty."

The genie picked a leaf and filled it with spring water.

After drinking the spring water, the bird is ready to flap its wings and fly away.

"Please answer me one more question," the genie held out his fingertip and the bird stopped on it.

"are you going to do something more important? I have rice and spring water here. "

"I'm going to the valley where the hyacinth is open, to see the hyacinth."

"Why? Can it drive away your hunger? "

"No."

"does it nourish your thirst?"

"No."

"then why did you go to see it?"

"I need it."

"Why do you need it?"

"I love it."

"Why do you love it?"

"I miss it day and night."

"Why do you miss it?"

"I love it."

The genie was silent for a moment and then asked another question:

"Why do you only love that one hyacinth? There are countless hyacinths in the valley. "

"because it's the only one."

"Why? Is it any different from all the other hyacinths? "

"Yes."

"what's the difference?"

"it's the only one I love."

The genie suddenly laughed softly and the bird flapped its wings and went away.
