Last year, our school opened an art characteristic class in junior high school for the first time. I was honored to be the art teaching task of their class. As it is an art class made up of music students, at first I had some worries and worries, afraid that it would be difficult to control these lively and playful children. Through the teaching practice of a school year, it has been proved that this kind of worry is superfluous, and they are not only full of enthusiasm for art class. And actively participate in art activities and competitions, classroom teaching and art activities have good results and performance. I have been engaged in art teaching for more than 30 years, and this class has left me an unforgettable deep memory and good impression.
This kind of favor is based on the following aspects of observation and experience:
1. Enthusiasm for learning is high, and most people like art classes from the bottom of their hearts, which is in sharp contrast to the fact that some classes pretend to like art classes but do not have a good class. And collective initiative to put an end to the misappropriation of art classes by other courses.
2. Fully prepared and in place before class, and can carry good tools and materials as required in each class. (this is one of the most worrying and headache problems for art teachers.) and finish the homework on time, according to quality and quantity.
3. Excellent learning state, careful listening, active speech and frequent interaction between teachers and students. 6. Students have affinity and intimacy, some take the initiative to communicate with teachers, the relationship between teachers and students is harmonious, and students know etiquette and politeness.
At first, the above performance of the art characteristic class was very surprising: ① generally has a prejudice against children who study art, that is, people who do not want to study culture choose to study art, and naughty and playful have become synonymous with them; students who specialize in ② music will have negative boredom to art learning. With these questions, I calmed down and thought about it carefully, and then I was relieved. To investigate the reasons, I think there are the following factors:
First, rich emotion and high emotional quotient
Literature and art appreciation, aesthetics and creation are all based on emotion. Children in art classes are trained in different categories of music (including vocal music, dance, instrumental music) and have rich emotional experience from an early age. They are easy to arouse empathy and curiosity about the plastic arts subject of art, which is also based on emotional experience. As a sister art, the nouns in art concepts, such as hue, rhythm and rhythm, come from music. The intuitive image of art is born with a sense of closeness to them, because literature, music and art all aim at carrying forward truth, goodness and beauty. Therefore, the hearts of these children are generally pure, sincere and kind.
Second, broaden your horizons and seek complementarity
Because of their professional characteristics, the students in the art class have a keen and quick sense of sound, melody and rhythm. When talking about the development of painting skills, the famous American art educators Cohan and Geithner pointed out: we think that the development of technology plus a strong line, texture, color and form consciousness can make the study of all disciplines more complete, more accurate and more enjoyable, and aesthetic consciousness will certainly enrich life. This is also a goal that art education should achieve. In their book Art another language for Learning, two art educators have used a large number of cases to elucidate the relationship between art and mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and science respectively. Especially in art activities, such as collage, clay sculpture, masks, puppets and other manual activities, not only exercise children's modeling ability and hands-on ability, but also understand a lot of scientific truth, and find another way to open the door to understanding abstract concepts. The gradual elimination of the division of liberal arts and science from some universities in China can prove that knowledge is interrelated, and artistic activities have greatly enriched children's emotional experience and promoted the learning and progress of other disciplines.
Fourth, bold exploration and innovation
In addition to completing the music learning task, the art class also undertakes a variety of literary and artistic performance competitions and social activities. However, without affecting the learning tasks of their major, they actively participate in the art training courses held by the school and participate in various provincial and municipal competitions and exhibitions. He achieved good results in the porcelain board painting competition at the school art festival at the end of last year. Recently, in the Fifth Creative Competition of Natural Materials jointly sponsored by the Provincial Children's activity Center, the Provincial Science and Technology Museum, the Provincial Art Publishing House and the Municipal artists Association, 15 works in our school were selected, of which 5 were in the art class. and two people won the first prize. More than 200 works selected by the province will be exhibited throughout the province after the first exhibition of the Provincial Science and Technology Museum. At the end of last month, the work came to our school for exhibition, which attracted the attention of many teachers and students, and everyone was full of praise for every work of art with profound creativity and ingenious use of materials. These works are carefully selected from thousands of paintings in the province. It is not only the true embodiment of every young author's comprehensive quality and self-cultivation, but also the perfect appearance of their artistic creative ability. The fact that the students in the art class can stand out from many outstanding children proves their strength and stamina.
To sum up, due to the high overall quality, rich feelings, sincere, non-biased subjects, interested in learning, motivated and effective, the students learn easily and happily, and what the teacher teaches is easy and easy.
