It's better to read the scriptures than to follow the wind.

It has been nearly half a month since the daily handwritten annotation of Tao Te Ching. The full text of 5,000 words, a total of 81 chapters, looking forward to the road is still long, suddenly look back, really want to stop, think about why start. After all, things in the world, always in the right way, can last forever. Always clean up the source, think of the initial heart, and then run all the way, not to live up to the good time. So, I want to pick up the pen and ink and talk about why I want to read and why it is Tao Te Ching.

Imagine a picture, ask a question in the knowledge, ask people all over the world,

Are there any memorable names in your culture?

The Germans say we have Goethe.

The French say we have Voltaire and Rousseau.

The Spanish say we have Cervantes.

The Russians say we have Tolstoy, Pushkin.

The British say we have Shakespeare.

The Italians say we have Dante.

The Greeks say we have Homer.

Americans say we have Hemingway.

The Japanese say we have Yasunari Kawabata.

The Chinese answer the question last.

What do the Chinese say? He cleared his throat and said slowly, We have

Confucius, Lao Zi, Zhuang Zi, Mencius, Mozi, Guan Zi, Han Fei, Zi Gui Gu Zi.

Li Bai Du Fu Su Shi Liu Zongyuan Liu Yuxi Ouyang Xiu Li Shangyin Wang Weibai Ju Yi Du Mu.

Su Shi Liu Yongxin abandoned disease Lu You Li Qingzhao Huang Tingjian.

Shen Zhou Tang Yin Xu Wei Wang Shi Gu Shi Tao Zheng Banqiao Xu Gu Ren Bo Nian Wu Changshuo Qi Baishi Eight Great Shanren

Cao Xueqin, Luo Guanzhong, Wu Chengen, Shi Naian

Before he could finish speaking, the representatives of the nations were already dizzy. In addition to his shock, his face revealed envy. He looked up and cupped his hands.

We are so shallow! Sir, can you give us a brief account of the thoughts of some of the representatives?

Nine times out of ten, everything that happened after that would be like falling into a cloud.

Because most of the respondents themselves will enter a state of jumping into the Great God.

The so-called jumping to the gods was to use some very vague and extremely inaccurate words to express what he wanted to say. The talker will begin to try to describe many things, but these things are like souls. Everyone claims to have them, but it is difficult to say what they are. What this person described was probably only a fragmentary evaluation heard from word of mouth, but it could be said that he knew nothing about system theory.

Then ask them. Two more sentences, then I don't know what to say. When it comes to Lao Tzu, it is to rule by doing nothing. And what is inaction? But you can only understand literally, without thinking. The word of God is love. And who is the merciful? The description can only appear as a soft-spoken scholar, but cannot summarize the inner.

So embarrassed to say: Why don't you ask the gossip of the 18-line star in our country, I know this ~

I often hear a word, school. WeChat circle of friends forwarded, and all kinds of masters emerge endlessly. Unfortunately, a "ancient view" has not yet finished reading, but can shake the body and become a traditional culture disseminator. Recite some fragmentary words, if there is no systematic cognition, all quotes are in support of their own views. So, how can reading play a role in self-improvement?

And the prevalence of this phenomenon is not a great loss. As a descendant of China, wasn't there no responsibility?

4。

Think about a problem often.

If we compare from the perspective of civilization, we can say with great pride that our civilization is absolutely deep enough to rank among the top three. No country in the world dares and cannot deny this.

But how do we prove ourselves to be the children of civilization today?

Because we know certain names? Because we recognize their portraits? Because we can memorize a few of the bits and pieces they say? And finally, a more righteous one, because we're yellow and we're black?

As people in society, we don't judge someone based on their photos and a few quotes. Yet we confidently say that we are descended from a civilization. Skimming a few sentences, you can evaluate the hundreds of schools of thought. But in fact, the dear friend I mentioned was just a photo and profile he happened to see on the Internet, or a few glances from the window, and he claimed to be his best friend.

Every classic handed down to this day has a precipitation of wisdom, and it is a systematic treatise, bearing the narrator's worldview. Just as one cannot touch an elephant's ear and say that it is a fan-like creature, nor can one say that a candle is the sun by mere perception without temperature, so one can infer the ideas of a book from the excerpts of one or two sentences, or define a doctrine as arbitrary judgment by the paraphrases of others. This kind of arbitrariness produces ignorant pride.

So why don't we start getting to know these friends again? Why don't we listen to them finish their speeches instead of interrupting them frequently, and listen only to what we want to hear as a source of quotation?

Culture has magic power, it is both spear and shield. Throughout history, nations without a deep enough culture either disappeared or were forced to die out. It is fortunate to live in such a culturally rich country. This civilization has experienced political purification, experienced regional integration, experienced three hundred and sixty days of wind and frost, and experienced mountains and heavy waters, doubts and no way out. It has a lot of bad things and a lot of good things. As an individual in such a culture, even if it cannot widely spread its various delicacies, richness and beauty, it only condenses the soul of culture and passes it on to two or three children. It is excellent to be able to talk confidently about the true situation of one's own culture with foreigners and meet people who really understand it.

That's why I decided to write and learn a classic text every day. The first book selected so far is Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching, which is handwritten and analyzed until the end of 81 chapters, which is about 3 months (this is also the reason why it is selected as the first book, simple and clear, easy to think about).

My interpretation will be synthesized from three sources:

First, direct explanation;

Second, Nan Huaijin's book "Lao Zi He Said";

Third, Tsinghua professor Wang Xiaoyi's class "Tao Te Ching Interpretation."

One is a publication recognized by the public, the other is a master of traditional Chinese studies promoted by his predecessors, and the third is a professor in a formal institution. I think it can be representative. Summarize the above three common points as a remark explanation, hoping to prevent the regret of interpreting the scribbled beads.

Education is a tree shaking a tree, a cloud moving a cloud, a soul awakening another soul.

Jaspers, What is Education (1977)

this was quoted by chai jing when she interviewed luang ke. That is the purpose of education and learning: to transmit, to push, to awaken. Instead of copying, pasting, anger, addiction, and chicken blood. The best way for trees to grow is to gradually absorb nutrients and grow, not to hope for a heavy rain to pull them out. Instead of indulging in the big V speech in the circle of friends and giving the mind to the simple conclusion of superficial reading, it is better to study systematically. The so-called, step through iron shoes no place to find, do not know that the body in this mountain. There are such rich classic treasures, understand them, really close to wisdom, use the soul to perceive, use questions to explore, condense and describe the life course map with its own national characteristics.

You say, bad?

Inspiration: These sages can actually be called big V, so why should we learn their things? It is not that big V cannot be learned, but that big V has real talent and learning, and learning cannot be just superficial. The real big V had the appeal because they had deep accumulation, strength and confidence. Without these, empty talk, even if they understood more truth, they still couldn't solve any problems and still couldn't live a good life.
